Teeth like pearls, rounded little ovals in her mouth. I think of all that she's devoured and devoured by. Our hour is just around the corner but we'll never round it. She'll board her plane and I'm already on mine. We'll become two paper dolls, flat as neverness. We had two drinks and shared the third, holding it with two hands, like it was a bowl that held the future. Two parts but never a whole.
